Wong Kar Wai's My Blueberry Nights Attracts a Big Name Cast

Ed Harris and Kevin Spacey Consider Joining My Blueberry Nights

May 26, 2006 - Wong Kar Wai (president of the 59th Cannes Film Festival) will make his English-language feature film directorial debut with the romantic comedy movie, My Blueberry Nights, set to star Norah Jones, Rachel Weisz, Natalie Portman and Jude Law. Kevin Spacey and Ed Harris are in talks to join the cast.

Filming is expected to begin in June 2006 in the United States. My Blueberry Nights stars Norah Jones as a young woman searching for the true meaning of love. Her journey takes her across America where she meets interesting and unusual people who encourage her to continue her quest.

Wong Kar Wai's previous films include 2046, In the Mood for Love, and Happy Together. The critically acclaimed filmmaker also has The Lady from Shanghai with Nicole Kidman in the works.
