"Babel" was written by Guillermo Arriaga and will directed by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu. Steve Golin and Jon Kilik will produce.
According to Variety, "Babel" revolves around "four interweaving stories set in Morocco, Tunisia, Mexico and Japan."
Brad Pitt will next be seen opposite Angelina Jolie in "Mr and Mrs Smith." Blanchett recently wrapped production on "Little Fish." Gael Garcia Bernal has "Dot the I" and "The Science of Sleep" set for release this year.
