April lives with her boyfriend Bobby in a dilapidated tenement on New York City's Lower East Side. Bobby convinces April to host her family for Thanksgiving. If preparing a holiday feast isn't enough pressure, Bobby leaves on a mysterious errand, her oven is broken, and she's never been on good terms with her mother who's on her way over with the rest of April's difficult family.
