According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Fast Track" is about an underachieving guy who has to work for his father-in-law after his pregnant wife quits her job. David Guion and Michael Handelman wrote the script and filming is expected to begin in July.
Bob and Harvey Weinstein may have ended their relationship with Disney but that doesn't mean they've stopped taking on projects. The Weinsteins' new company will be in charge of releasing the comedy domestically.
Marc Butan, Ted Hope, Anthony Bregman, and Anne Carey are producing the film. Producer Butan recently told The Hollywood Reporter he was thrilled to be working with the Weinsteins. "There couldn't be two better people to release this film than Harvey and Bob, whose marketing savvy will bring the film to the widest possible audience. We're delighted to be one of the first films to be released by their new company," said Butan.
