Guy Pearce ("The Time Machine," "Memento") will star as Harry Houdini in the movie "Death Defying Acts," directed by Gillian Armstrong ("Oscar and Lucinda").The film, which was scripted by Tony Grisoni and Brian Ward, follows events that occurred during Harry Houdini's 1926 British tour and focuses on Houdini's relationship with a Scottish woman. Rachel Weisz ("Constantine") is in negotiations to play Houdini's mistress.
Guy Pearce is currently filming "First Snow" and has wrapped filming on "The Proposition." Rachel Weisz will next be seen in "The Constant Gardener" with Ralph Fiennes and Darren Aronofsky's "The Fountain."
