Ellen Page Biography: Ellen Page's career hasn't followed the normal route as the actress has avoided the typical teen roles for heartier fare. Page made her debut on Canadian television at the age of 10 starring in Pit Pony which began as a made-for-TV movie and then become a series. Page picked up a Gemini nomination for her work in the Pit Pony movie as well as a Young Artist Awards nomination for Best Performance in a TV Drama Series-Leading Actress. Page also appeared in the TV series Trailer Park Boy.
From there Page transitioned into roles in feature films. In 2003 Page starred in Mouth to Mouth directed by Alison Murray. Her work as teenager who meets a stranger over the internet in 2006's Hard Candy earned her high praise from critics.
Page took on the role of a mutant, winning the heavily sought after role of Kitty Pryde in the third X-Men, X-Men: The Last Stand. She followed that supporting role up with a starring turn in Juno which earned her Golden Globe, Independent Spirit, Screen Actors Guild, and Academy Award nominations.
In addition to acting Page enjoys soccer, cycling, snowboarding, and playing the guitar.
