Described as ultra-violent, "Shoot-Em-Up" follows the story of Owen's character as he protects a newborn baby from killers. Michael Davis wrote the script and will direct the film.
Filming is expected to begin in early 2006 with a release date penciled in for the 2006 holiday season.
Clive Owen was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his work in "Closer." Owen will next be seen in "Derailed" with Jennifer Aniston and is in in pre-production on "Inside Man" and "The Children of Men."
