At the Los Angeles press junket for the romantic comedy Over Her Dead Body, Eva Longoria Parker immediately dispelled any rumors of a pregnancy. Longoria Parker explained the small pink blanket covering her shoulders was not to hide a baby bump, but just for warmth. I was freezing, so I had to run down to the gift shop, laughed Longoria Parker. They didn't have any wraps and I grabbed this and was like, It's so soft. But why is it so small?! And they said, It's for a baby."
Longoria and Tony Parker have discussed starting a family, but arent following any set schedule. We're not really on a time clock and going, Okay, this month, this day... We're kind of just going, We're so happy if we get pregnant, and if we don't we're okay. We're just letting God decide it, really.
As someone married to a popular professional athlete, Longoria Parker feels nothing but sympathy for pop star Jessica Simpson. Dallas Cowboy fans aren't happy with Simpson dating their quarterback, Tony Romo, and have been quite vocal in voicing their opinions. "I love Jessica," said Longoria Parker. "You know, when I first started dating Tony, I got the same flack, and this was so many years ago that people don't remember, but if he had a bad game, it was my fault. If he got injured, it was my fault. If he had a good game, it wasn't because of me, you know? Believe me, they are not thinking of us when they are on the field, particularly Tony Romo, who has 10 linemen coming at him. Do you think that he is really thinking about Jessica the moment that he is about to get sacked?"
"You have to weather that for a while, and once people get over it, they kind of get used to you. But people, especially with the Spurs and the Cowboys, these big, big teams, the fans feel like they own them. Like, 'That's OUR team. Who are you to come into our team?' So it took a while for me to be accepted by that community. It's truly a whole other subculture."
