Guide Review - Open Season DVD Review

Open Season was inspired by Steve Moore and his syndicated comic strip and comes to life on the screen with the help of a talented voice cast featuring Ashton Kutcher and Martin Lawrence. Although it's a film fit for younger kids (it's rated PG), Open Season also manages to keep the adult audience entertained - which is a feat not all animated films are able to pull off.

The Story
Boog the Bear (Martin Lawrence) loves living in the garage of Park Ranger Beth (Debra Messing) and performing in front of park vistors as part of her daily show. But Boog's comfortable, domesticated life abruptly comes to an end when Elliot the Mule Deer (Ashton Kutcher) enters the picture. Elliott gets Boog into so much trouble that Beth is forced to move her beloved bear into the forest where he'll be free to interact with other animals and be away from humans.

Boog's not used to the hard life of a wild animal and it's up to Elliott to help the grizzly survive in the wilderness. However Boog has just one goal in mind: to go home to his best friend, Beth. And he knows he needs to do so in a hurry as hunting season is only three days away...
