The Bottom Line
Ben Stiller's never been better than he is in Night at the Museum, a terrific comedy movie from director Shawn Levy (The Pink Panther). A film that appeals to all generations - the senior set should get a kick out of Mickey Rooney and Dick Van Dyke hamming it up - Night at the Museum is the perfect movie to watch with the entire family.

Guide Review - Night at the Museum 2-Disc Special Edition DVD Review
Ben Stiller stars as Larry Daley, a down-on-his-luck divorced dad who is forced to take a job as a night security guard in order to make ends meet. Signing on to handle New York's Museum of Natural History after the doors close to visitors isn't Larry's dream job, and he expects the graveyard shift to be boring. But Larry soon discovers there's nothing boring or ordinary about spending the night at the museum - not when all the exhibits come alive (including the T-Rex).
The Bonus Features
Be prepared to devote a lot of time to watching the bonus features when you start browsing the second disc. 20th Century Fox loaded the special edition DVD with the usual bells and whistles (deleted and extended scenes, commentary, etc) as well as some really entertaining extras including a behind-the-scenes look at how the monkey was trained for the film and a fairly lengthy gag reel. Even the commentary tracks (on the first disc) by Shawn Levy and the one by writers Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon are worth checking out.
