Guide Review - 'National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets' 2-Disc Collector's Edition DVD
The StoryBenjamin Franklin Gates (Nicolas Cage) finds himself smack dab in the middle of another historical whodunit when his great grandfather is named as a conspirator in the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. Ben isn't about to sit back and let his family's name be dragged through the mud, and so he sets out - with the help of his friends and father - to get to the truth of the matter and clear his great granddad's name.
The Bonus Features
The 2-Disc Collector's Edition deserves the 'Collector's Edition' label. This one's loaded with extra goodies, some actually more entertaining than the film itself. Even if you're not a fan of commentary tracks, you need to set aside time and listen to director Jon Turteltaub and Jon Voight discuss bringing the story to life. It's a lively commentary track and one that truly reveals all the behind the scenes goodies you could possibly want to know.
Other extras include deleted/extended scenes with Turteltaub providing detailed info on each scene, a hilarious blooper/outtake reel, interviews with the cast and director, and a featurette on the shooting of the London street chase scene. By sure to watch 'The Book of Secrets: On Location' for insight into how and where the film was shot. Another must see is the 'Knights of the Golden Circle' extra which looks at the real story behind the mysterious organization.
