Guide Review - "My Super Ex-Girlfriend" DVD Review
As if breaking up isn't hard enough, just imagine if the person you're trying to ditch is actually one of the world's most powerful superheroes. That's the premise of My Super Ex-Girlfriend directed by Ivan Reitman from a screenplay by Simpsons writer Don Payne.Matt Saunders (Wilson) isn't lucky at love but he believes he's found Mrs Right when he runs into Jenny Johnson (Thurman). She's a little off and occasionally seems distracted, but she's also intelligent and not hard on the eyes so he can deal with her little quirks. At least he thinks he can deal with whatever's going on in her life until he finds out his new flame is actually G-Girl - a superpowered, supersexy superhero.
After coming to terms with that interesting development, Matt starts to realize that not only is his new girlfriend capable of saving the world, she's also ultra-neurotic. For Matt, breaking up turns out to be not only hard to do but also a potentially fatal decision...
