Victor Webster on "Must Love Dogs," Internet Dating, and the Rick Hansen Movie

Victor Webster on His Role in "Must Love Dogs:" "I actually come to the door with a bunch of flowers and some balloons and you think that I’m one of the men in [Diane Lane's character's] life, but I turn out to be her best friend’s boyfriend and we’re there to cheer her up.

The role was really fun. I think the talent pool was really attractive. The writer/director was extremely attractive. So to work with those type of people brings your game up a little."

On Working with Writer/Director Gary David Goldberg: "He was very specific [with the script] and the thing about it was that there wasn’t really anything I needed to do. It was just right. When we were on the set, he would change scenes here and there to make things better. He’s a genius. He really, really knows what’s going on."

Victor Webster's Stance on Internet Dating: "I think it works for some people. It doesn’t work for me so much," said Webster. Does that mean he's actually given it a try? Webster laughed, "No, no, no, no. I’m a little scared to try it. I’d be very afraid, to be honest with you.

I’m really, really, really picky and it’s mostly about their personality. You can’t tell someone’s personality when you’re talking to them over the Internet or by punching in keys. You want to know how they respond, if they have a sense of humor. You get a sense of somebody by spending time with them.

Online, you can believe that they’re anybody. They may be like a 500 lb Samoan with a bunch of tattoos sitting on the other side saying he’s an FHM cover model just to try and mess with you. Plus, I don’t get on the computer that often – once a week maybe."

On What Someone 'Must Love' to be in a Relationship With Him: "My dogs. They have to laugh if my jokes. Even if I have to pay them, they have to laugh at my jokes. No. I think they just have to love me for who I am. If you want to be in a relationship with someone, you have to be able to be yourself. I don’t want to be acting. I want to be who I am."

Victor Webster on the Rick Hansen Movie: "It’s about a great Canadian hero who went around the world in a wheelchair. It took him two years to do it and he really inspired a lot of the changes that we have in regards to the handicapped. He’s just an incredible person.

It’s in the works right now. I would love to start tomorrow but you know this business. We’ll see what happens. It could be a week, it could be a couple of months. Hopefully sometime by the end of September. It’s something that is a labor of love that we really, truly believe in that’s going to get made. We just want to make sure that all of our ducks are in a row first."
