Marc Lawrence, Adam Schlesinger Interviews - "Music and Lyrics" Premiere
Writer/director Marc Lawrence (Two Weeks Notice) handed composer Adam Schlesinger a difficult task when he asked him to write the songs for Music and Lyrics. Not only did Schlesinger have to come up with a handful of new songs, he also had to write them as though he were a couple of strangers brought together to write a catchy tune for a Britney-ish pop singer.At the film's Hollywood Premiere, Lawrence and Schlesinger talked about working on a film centered in the world of music and featuring two actors not necessarily known for the musical abilities.
