Director Luis Mandoki Takes Charge of "The Winged Boy"

Gold Circle Films has tapped Luis Mandoki ("Innocent Voices," "Message in a Bottle") to direct the family friendly film, "The Winged Boy," based on a story by Mary Hayley Bell.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bell's story involves an Irish boy who suddenly starts to grow wings and learns to fly. Bell's grandsons, Crispian Mills and Michael Geary, co-wrote the screenplay and Malia Scotch Marmo is currently working on a rewrite.

Paul Brooks and Gina Carter will produce the movie. Gold Circle hasn't released any casting info or news on when filming will begin.
