Will Smith Says Yes to "It Takes a Thief"

Because there's no way Hollywood could possibly allow any decent TV series to exist without remaking it into a feature film, It Takes a Thief will soon be coming to movie theaters in your neighborhood.

Will Smith's set to star in Universal Pictures' big screen adaptation of the classic show which aired between 1968 and 1970. Robert Wagner starred in the original series as a cat burglar who was talked into working for the United States government. Smith will play a similar character in the film version.

According to Variety, Smith will produce It Takes a Thief with James Lassiter, Kevin Misher, John Davis and Joe Singer. David Elliot (Four Brothers)and Paul Lovett are working on the script.

Smith will next be seen in Pursuit of Happyness and has Tonight, He Comes in the works.
