May 16, 2007 - Frank Miller co-directed (with Robert Rodriguez) the big screen adaptation of his Sin City graphic novels and is now set to take on the job of directing a comic book-inspired film all on his own. Miller will helm The Spirit for Lionsgate Films.
Miller's desire to direct The Spirit stems from his deep appreciation of Will Eisner and his classic comic book series. Eisner's stories follow a man who fakes his death in order to be able to fight crime without being detected.
Miller adapted the screenplay and will start work on the film after Sin City 2.
