Sep 12, 2007 - The cast of Sex and the City: The Movie has grown by one. Academy Award-winner Jennifer Hudson (Dreamgirls) has signed on to play an assistant to Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker).
Sex and the City: The Movie follows the further adventures of four New York friends - Carrie (Parker), Samantha (Kim Cattrall), Charlotte (Kristin Davis), and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon). The storyline, which is being kept under wraps, picks up four years after the end of the popular HBO series.
Michael Patrick King wrote the script and is directing Sex and the City: The Movie. Filming will begin later this month with New Line Cinema aiming for a 2008 release.
