Jan 26, 2006 - Lionsgate acquired the worldwide rights to "Right at Your Door," a thriller from first time feature film director Chris Gorak.
Gorak made the transition from production designer and art director to director with "Right at Your Door," a film that follows events immediately after dirty bombs are detonated in Downtown Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, and at LAX. "Right at Your Door" focuses on the choices one particular couple must make as they face the chaos and panic spreading across Los Angeles.
"Right at Your Door" was written and directed by Gorak and produced by Palmer West and Jonah Smith. The film stars Mary McCormack ("The West Wing") and Rory Cochrane ("Empire Records," "Hart's War").
In a statement issued by the studio, Lionsgate executive Nick Meyer said, "This taut and superbly executed thriller will prove to have global appeal. With our recently acquired UK distributor Redbus releasing in the UK, and Simon Franks and Zygi Kamasa team’s enthusiasm and proven success in this genre, this film will be a great opportunity to maximize on the expansion of our distribution model.”
