Rachel McAdams and Cillian Murphy Catch the "Red Eye"

By , About.com Guide

Hot off her starring role in the romantic drama, "The Notebook," Rachel McAdams has signed on to star in the dramatic thriller, "Red Eye," for DreamWorks Pictures.

Joining McAdams on "Red Eye" is the busy Cillian Murphy, fresh off wrapping his role as Scarecrow in "Batman Begins" starring Christian Bale as Batman.

Wes Craven, the director of the upcoming horror movie "Cursed" (which has had enough filming problems to earn it its title), will take charge of "Red Eye," a departure from his usual horror fare.

According to Variety, McAdams will play a woman who is held captive on a plane by Murphy, a killer who wants her help in assassinating a wealthy businessman. Filming is scheduled to begin in November 2004.
