Oct 25, 2005 - It was recently announced Sylvester Stallone will be getting back in the ring to revisit his Rocky character. Now word comes from Emmett/Furla Films that Stallone's ready to play Rambo once again. Stallone has signed on to star in "Rambo IV."
According to the press release issued by Family Room Entertainment, the fourth "Rambo" movie will find our hero living a quiet, normal life in the United States. But since that wouldn't be much of a movie, Rambo's quiet life is interrupted when a young girl goes missing. Rambo has to leave his new existence behind and take justice into his own hands.
Millennium Film's Avi Lerner and Boaz Davidson will produce the film with Emmett/Furla Film's Randall Emmett and George Furla. There's no word yet on who will direct the film or write the script.
Filming is expected to begin in mid-2006. "Rambo IV" will be shot in Mexico and the United States on a budget of $50 million.
