Ian Somerhalder Takes "Pulse" After Flat-Lining on "Lost"

Ian Somerhalder Goes the Horror Route

By , About.com Guide

April 18, 2005 - Ian Somerhalder's schedule has been freed up a little since becoming the first main character to be killed off in the hit TV series, "Lost." But Somerhalder doesn't plan on taking much of a vacation. The model-turned-actor is thinking about taking a lead role in "Pulse" for Dimension Films. Kristen Bell ("Veronica Mars") and Steve Talley have already signed on to star in "Pulse."

Keeping with the current trend in Hollywood, "Pulse" is based on a Japanese horror movie ("Kairo"). The story follows a group of friends who find out one of their friends has accidently stumbled upon a wireless signal that allowed an evil to come into our world.

Ray Wright wrote the script and Mike Leahy and Joel Soisson will produce the film.

Filming is expected to begin this summer in Romania.
