The original movie followed a group of survivors on a cruise ship that was destroyed by a huge tidal wave. The gang had to figure out how to work their way up from the submerged ship to the surface.
Mike Fleiss, Duncan Henderson, and Petersen are producing the movie, withh Mark Protosevich and Akiva Goldsman working on the script. Filming is expected to begin this month.
Kurt Russell will next be seen in the family comedy, "Sky High." Lucas has "Glory Road" and "Stealth" set for release in 2005.
