June 29, 2005 - Kristen Stewart, Dylan McDermott, Penelope Ann Miller, and John Corbett have signed on to star in an untitled horror film* from directors Oxide and Danny Pang.
Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert from Ghost House Pictures will be producing what's currently being referred to as "The Untitled Pang Brothers Horror Project." Jason Shuman and William Sherak of Blue Star Pictures are also producing the horror film. Mark Wheaton wrote the script which is based on a previous script from Stuart Beattie from an original script by Todd Farmer (it sure sounds like a lot of writers have had their hands in drafting the script). Columbia Pictures has come onboard to distribute the film in North America.
In a statement issued by Columbia Pictures, "The Untitled Pang Brothers Horror Project" was described as thriller in which "an ominous darkness invades a seemingly serene sunflower farm in North Dakota and the Solomon family (Stewart, McDermott, Miller) is torn apart by suspicion, mayhem and murder."
Producers Raimi and Tapert said, "We're all looking forward to getting production underway this week with such a talented cast and getting Oxide and Danny behind the camera." This project marks the brothers first English-language film.
Filming is currently underway in Saskatchewan, Canada.
