The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe and The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian director Andrew Adamson won't be tackling the third film of the series. Instead current president of the Directors Guild of America Michael Apted will helm the third Narnia movie, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
Apted's recent films include the moving drama Amazing Grace with Ioan Gruffudd (Mr Fantastic of the Fantastic Four movies) and Enough starring Jennifer Lopez.
Adamson will produce the film with Mark Johnson and returning Narnia players are set to include Ben Barnes, Georgie Henley and Skandar Keynes. The third Narnia film will hit theaters in May 2009.
