The family adventure film follows the young sleuth Nancy Drew as she tries to solve a long-unsolved mystery in Hollywood. Nancy stumbles across new evidence that may lead to the discovery of who killed a beautiful movie star decades before.
Tate Donovan will play Nancy Drew's father, Carson. Max Thieriot co-stars as one Nancy's close friend Ned. Josh Flitter from "The Greatest Game Ever Played" co-stars as a Hollywood Hills High School student named Corky who befriends Nancy.
"Nancy Drew" will be produced by Jerry Weintraub. Alexander Gruszynski is the director of photography, Tony Fanny is the production designer, and Jeff Freeman will edit the film.
Warner Bros Pictures plans to release "Nancy Drew" in 2007.
