Oct 27, 2004 - Hot off the success of his football drama, "Friday Night Lights," Peter Berg will next direct "The Kingdom" for Universal Pictures.
According to Variety, "The Kingdom" follows a team of U.S. officials who work with a Middle Eastern government to investigate a bombing. Peter Berg and director/producer Michael Mann brought the idea to Universal Pictures, with Mann and his Forward Pass production company onboard to produce the film.
Matthew Michael Carnahan is working on the script. There's no word yet on filming dates or locations.
