John Madden Will Direct "Killshot" for Miramax Films

John Madden will direct the movie adaptation of the Elmore Leonard novel, "Killshot," for Miramax Films. Hossein Amini ("The Four Feathers") wrote the script.

Elmore Leonard's novel follows married couple Carmen and Wayne Colson who inadvertently stumble onto an extortion scheme. Their discovery makes them the target of the bad guys.

Director John Madden ("Shakespeare in Love," "Captain Corelli's Mandolin") just completed work on "Prime" with Gwyneth Paltrow, Sir Anthony Hopkins and Jake Gyllenhaal.
