Kevin Smith's done a batch of comedy movies, but he's never done a sci-fi comedy. That's about to change as Smith has revealed he's been working on a script for an outer space tale.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, this Smith film won't have an indie budget. Their sources say it'll be in the $45-50 million range. Smith won't start work on this sci-fi comedy, which will feature a father/son relationship, until after he completes Red State.
Smith's latest film, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, hits theaters on October 31st.
