Warner Bros.' "Il Mare" will be a remake of the Korean film, which was written by Ji-Na Yeo. The English-language "Il Mare" movie will be adapted by David Auburn.
Variety summed up the original "Il Mare" as following the story of two strangers who live in the same house two years apart. They fall in love by writing letters and leaving them in a mailbox that mysteriously bridges time.
