Walt Disney Studios has completed a deal to distribute the movie "Hoax" to be directed by Lasse Hallstrom and starring Richard Gere, Marcia Gay Harden and Alfred Molina."Hoax" is based on the story of writer Clifford Irving and the Howard Hughes 'autobiography' he penned in the '70s. The bogus autobiography was released in Great Britain in 1997 and became a bestseller. Gere will star as Irving with Harden co-starring as his wife. Molina plays Irving's accomplice in pulling off the hoax, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Filming is expected to begin in New York in August 2005.
