Sean Bean Joins the Cast of The Hitcher

June 1, 2oo6 - Sean Bean has signed on to star in the horror movie, The Hitcher, to be directed by Dave Meyers for Rogue Pictures. One Tree Hill's Sophia Bush is also committed to the project which will begin shooting this month in Texas.

The original film and the remake will follow a young couple who pick up a hitchhiker for company. That's definitely a bad call on their part as the man they give a ride to is actually a cold-blooded killer.

Eric Bernt wrote the screenplay for the new film based on the 1986 script by Eric Red. Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller are producing The Hitcher.
