Director Alfonso Cuaron has been tapped by Warner Bros. Pictures to helm "The History of Love," based on a novel by Nicole Krauss.

With "The History of Love," Cuaron is reuniting with producer David Heyman ("Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban") and Warner Bros. Krauss' novel is set to hit stores in May 2005. Describing "The History of Love" to Variety, producer Heyman said, "It's a book that requires real tenderness without being overly sentimental, and that is something Alfonso does very well," Heyman said.
