John Woo ("Mission Impossible 2") will direct the live-action movie "He-Man," based on "Masters of the Universe" action figures from Mattel. The story of He-Man was made into a movie back in 1987, with Dolph Lundgren as the heroic He-Man, Frank Langella as bad guy Skeletor, and Meg Foster as Evil-Lyn. He-Man was originally Prince Adam, an Earthling/Eternian mix, who received superpowers at the age of 18.
Adam Rifkin is adapting the screenplay, with Woo and Terence Chang producing the film.
