Production is about to begin on Courtney Solomon's gothic ghost story, "An American Haunting." Solomon adapted the script from Brent Monahan's book "The Bell Witch: An American Haunting," and will direct the movie, which is set to star Sissy Spacek, Donald Sutherland, James D'Arcy, and Rachel Hurd-Wood.Brent Monahan's 1997 novel is based on events in Robertson County, Tennessee during the 1800s. "An American Haunting" is the story of the Bell Witch, a spirit who haunted the Bell family and ultimately led to the death of the father, John Bell.
Courtney Solomon is producing the film along with Christopher Milburn and Andre Rouleau. Filming will take place in Romania beginning mid-October 2004.
