Their latest project to make the news is "Grind House." Quentin Tarantino ("Pulp Fiction," "Kill Bill") and Robert Rodriguez ("Spy Kids," "Sin City") will each direct a 60 minute horror film, which will then be packaged together as "Grind House." According to The Hollywood Reporter, trailers and extras from other filmmakers will be shown between the two films similar to what the old 'grindhouses' used to do decades ago. Variety coined the phrase grindhouse to describe old movie theaters which ran double or triple features continuously without much time in between the films.
The Weinsteins issued a statement saying, "We couldn't imagine anything more exciting than a film being made together by the two godfathers of our companies, Quentin and Robert."
