Albert Finney Joins the Cast of "A Good Year"

[Aug 17, 2005 - Albert Finney has signed on to play Russell Crowe's uncle in the movie "A Good Year," adapted from the Peter Mayle novel by Marc Klein.

Ridley Scott is directing the pic, with shooting expected to begin in September in Paris.

Based on the novel by Mayle, "A Good Year" follows Max Skinner as he leaves London - and a ruined financial career - behind to take over the French vineyard he inherited from his uncle.

Albert Finney was last seen in the Tim Burton film, "Big Fish," co-starring Ewan McGregor and Jessica Lange. Finney reunited with Burton for the upcoming stop motion animated movie, "Corpse Bride."
