Nov 21, 2007 - Sienna Miller has signed on to a starring role in the G.I. Joe movie to be directed by Stephen Sommers. Production is expected to begin on G.I. Joe in February 2008 with Paramount Pictures aiming for an August 2009 release.
According to Variety, Miller will be playing a femme fatale with considerable espionage skills. Paramount and Sommers haven't announced any additional casting however rumors have Sam Worthington linked to the project.
Stuart Beattie wrote the screenplay with Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Brian Goldner producing.
Sienna Miller was recently seen playing a supporting role in Stardust and has finished work on The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and The Edge of Love. Miller's currently at work on Hippie Hippie Shake starring Cillian Murphy.
