Sep 16, 2006 - Kyra Sedgwick's schedule is filling up as the star of the TV hit, The Closer, has now signed on to Disney's football movie, The Game Plan. Sedgwick will play opposite Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in the family film set to hit theaters in 2007.
Production on The Game Plan hit a snag when the film's star, The Rock, ruptured his Achilles tendon back in June. Disney's anticipating The Rock will be physically up to working on the film later this month.
The cast also includes Morris Chestnut, Madison Pettis and Paige Turco. Nichole Millard and Kathryn Price wrote the script and Andy Fickerman (She's the Man) will direct The Game Plan (also known as Daddy's Little Girl).
The Game Plan is the story of an NFL football player who finds out he's got a 7-year-old daughter (Pettis).
