20th Century Fox Signs Tim Story to Direct "Fantastic Four 2"

Dec 12, 2005 - Director Tim Story and the main cast (Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, Ioan Gruffudd, and Michael Chiklis) of "Fantastic Four" have signed on to "Fantastic Four 2" for 20 Century Fox.

Story will return as director and Mark Frost will return as screenwriter. The first "Fantastic Four" movie did $56 million during its opening weekend and Fox has high hopes for the sequel, set for release in July 2007.

In an interview with Variety, Story said about the sequel, "The universe of villains is vast, and now that everyone's been introduced, you can just get right to it. That's why so many superhero sequels improve on the original."
