A Sequel to "Mrs. Doubtfire" is in the Works

Fox 2000 is ready to revisit the popular "Mrs. Doubtfire" with a sequel. The original "Mrs. Doubtfire" starred Robin Williams as an actor who dresses in drag in order to trick his ex-wife into hiring him as the nanny for his kids. That film continues to be immensely popular on cable and DVD, and earned Williams a Golden Globe as best actor in a comedy/musical.

Williams is in talks to return for the "Mrs. Doubtfire" sequel, and would also serve as a producer. Actress/writer/director Bonnie Hunt is being courted to write the script.

Robin Williams will next be heard but not seen in "Robots" and "Happy Feet," two animated films which will feature Williams' voice work.
