Len Wiseman May Take on Die Hard 4

May 31, 2006 - Hard as it is to believe, it's been more more than a decade since the last Die Hard movie - Die Hard: With a Vengeance. Since that film's release in 1995, star Bruce Willis has done more than two dozen movies. And it's a safe bet that during every press junket for each of those 20+ films, the question of when will we see another Die Hard movie has raised its ugly head.

As recently as the promotional tour for Over the Hedge, the animated family comedy from DreamWorks, Willis was asked about the status of Die Hard 4. At that time Willis said, "I’m pretty involved with it. They are still working on the script is all I can tell you. That, and the fact that I get asked about it all the time."

It now looks as though the project is edging closer to being a reality. Underworld and Underworld Evolution director Len Wiseman is in talks to direct Die Hard 4, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

If all goes as planned, Die Hard 4 will once again feature Willis in the role of the man no one should ever mess with, John McClane. Mark Bomback and Doug Richardson wrote the screenplay for the fourth film of the series which finds police officer McClane pulled out of retirement to take on an Internet terrorist organization.
