Anthony Anderson Joins the Cast of Martin Scorsese's "The Departed"

March 2005 - Anthony Anderson ("Kangaroo Jack") has signed on to the Martin Scorsese film, "The Departed." Frequent Scorsese collaborator Leonardo DiCaprio leads the cast, with Matt Damon and Jack Nicholson also onboard the project.

"The Departed" is a remake of "Infernal Affairs," the 2002 Hong Kong film directed by Andrew Lau and Siu Fai Mak. In this Americanized version, Matt Damon will play a gangster who infiltrates the police, while DiCaprio is a cop who goes undercover inside a gang. Anderson will co-star as a police officer who is friends with both men, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Anthony Anderson will next be seen in "King's Ransom" for New Line Cinema.
