Emmett/Furla Films and Millennium Films have teamed up to produce and distribute a remake of George A Romero's 1985 cult hit, "Day of the Dead."Randall Emmett and George Furla will produce the new version of "Day of the Dead" with James Dudelson, Avi Lerner, and Boaz Davidson. The original George A Romero movie followed scientists and military personnel who lived underground after the earth had been overrun by zombies. Their luck ran out when zombies found their way into the protective bunker.
In a statement issued by Family Room Entertainment, Randall Emmett and George Furla said, "We are exited about the potential of a 'Day of the Dead' re-make and we are also enthusiastic about the marketplace's continued demand for new and exciting horror pictures."
