"Dallas" TV Series to Become a Feature Film

Robert Luketic Set to Direct "Dallas"

"Legally Blonde" director Robert Luketic has been named director of the movie "Dallas," based on the classic TV series which aired from 1978-1991.

Variety is reporting the movie version of "Dallas" will follow J.R. Ewing who now heads up the world's most powerful energy company. Remaining faithful to what made the television series so addictive, "Dallas" the movie will have all the backstabbings and wicked fun of the TV series.

"Dallas" creator David Jacobs is producing the movie along with Michael Costigan. "Steel Magnolias" scribe Robert Harling wrote the script.
