Dane Cook Cook's Up Dad Knap Movie

Funny guy Dane Cook will star in and produce the comedy movie Dad Knap for Walt Disney Pictures.

Cook's been keeping busy on the acting front, having recently completed work on the indie comedy Employee of the Month with pop star/actress Jessica Simpson. Cook's lining up projects and will star in Dad Knap after he finishes up a dramatic role in Mr Brooks with Kevin Costner.

According to Variety, Dad Knap will involve a man who wants to get closer to his father so he kidnaps him.

David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman, and Barry Katz join Cook as producers on the film. There's no word yet on who will pen the script or direct Dad Knap.
