"Confetti" is the story of three couples who are competing for the title of 'Most Original Wedding of the Year' in a contest hosted by a bridal magazine. The film stars Martin Freeman ("The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"), Jessica Stevenson ("Shaun of the Dead"), Stephen Mangan, Felicity Montagu, Alison Steadman, and comedian Jimmy Carr in his feature film acting debut.
In a press release announcing the acquisition Fox Searchlight Pictures President Peter Rice said, "From minute one, we were immediately enamored with 'Confetti's unique concept and witty execution. With 'Confetti' we look forward to both working with BBC Films and Wasted Talent, and continuing the extraordinary success we have experienced with previous British comedies like 'The Full Monty,' 'Waking Ned Devine' and 'Bend It Like Beckham'."
