Will Ferrell Goes to the Beach in "Bronze God"

Can you picture Will Ferrell in a Speedo? The powers that be at Columbia Pictures are hoping audiences will have a desire to see just that. Ferrell is set to star in "Bronze God," written by Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck.

According to Variety, Will Ferrell will play a lifeguard whose dreams come true when he gets a shot at entering a beach volleyball tournament.

Gregory told Variety, "Will's about the funniest guy out there, and he's even funnier shirtless, in a Speedo and with a savage tan."

Will Ferrell will next be seen in "Melinda and Melinda," a Woody Allen comedy starring Radha Mitchell. Ferrell's also got "Bewitched" with Nicole Kidman and "Kicking and Screaming" with Robert Duvall set for release in 2005.
