Jon Heder and Will Ferrell May Pair Up for "Blades of Glory"

Ferrell and Heder May Take to the Ice in the DreamWorks Comedy

By , About.com Guide

Nov 18, 2005 - Jon Heder and Will Feder may be lacing up their skates and hitting the ice in the movie "Blades of Glory" from DreamWorks Pictures. First time feature film helmers Will Speck and Josh Gordon are set to direct the comedy.

If both deals go through, Heder and Ferrell would play former rivals who get booted from the Olympics and banned from the sport of men's singles ice skating. They discover a loophole which allows them back in and team up to compete in the pairs competition.

Ben Stiller, Stuart Cornfeld, and John Jacobs will produce the film.

Will Ferrell just completed roles in "Curious George," "Stranger Than Fiction," and the NASCAR comedy, "Talladega Nights."

There will be a time when Jon Heder's name isn't immediately followed by the words "star of Napoleon Dynamite" but that time hasn't come yet. He has to bag a few more featured roles before he can stop being referred to as the "Napoleon Dynamite" guy. Fortunately for Heder, he's well on his way to doing that. Heder's recently wrapped work on "The Benchwarmers" with Rob Schneider and is currently filming "School for Scoundrels" opposite Billy Bob Thornton.
