Aug 2, 2006 - The Hollywood Reporter is reporting Paul Dano will play a charismatic preacher in the movie There Will Be Blood starring Daniel Day-Lewis and written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson (Punch Drunk Love).
Dano, whose recent credits include Little Miss Sunshine and The King, will be sharing the screen for the second time with Day-Lewis. Dano played the sleazy boyfriend of Day Lewis' daughter in the indie drama, The Ballad of Jack and Rose.
There Will Be Blood is loosely based on Oil! by Upton Sinclair. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Day-Lewis is playing an oil tycoon who turns a small town into a boomtown.
Filming will take place in Texas and California.
